Software architecture/development for a realtime control system
This work was done to support a realtime data acquisition system that collected data from air turbine test units. The software was designed in Intel Assembly for an embedded Intel 8-bit 8085 based custom controller. Software included a simple multitasking kernel, and device drivers for a parallel interface to the test units, a terminal and a tape drive, and processes to collect and format the test data. In conjunction with this effort, conducted a high-level language study that focused on obtaining a realtime, high-level language for programming customer's realtime systems going forward.
